Social Security We Must Insure that Social Security is there for the Silent Generation, help the Baby Boomers prepare for life with reduced Social Security Benefits, and wean those who will follow (my generation included) from it completely. The overhaul of Social Security is long over due, those of us in our 30’s and 40’s have known for a while now that the system would not provide for us as it had for others, and most of us have prepared for that inevitability. The time has come to phase...

After a long discussion with my Step father this weekend, I started to wonder where I stand politically. He was surprised to hear my stance on some of the issues. He had long colored me a bleeding heart liberal, and I tried to show him that he and I really aren't that far apart. He is very conservative. I think of my self as a Moderate. I'd like your opinion. I'm also welcome to some more input on issues but for now here is what I have: Abortion I believe abortion is wrong. My wife...

I think Saddam could have been taken with far fewer American lives being lost and less civilian bloodshed through diplomatic/military means. I'm not talking about the sanctions either. The time for sanctions was passed, it was an idea that worked some but cost much more. A different type of diplomacy was needed, one where Saddam removed not by brute force but by atrophy. Emancipate the Kurdish People of Northern Iraq declare the Northern territory a free republic, and set up a democra...

I didn't vote for Bush. My reasons are well documented. I support my President. I want him to do well; I want him to show valiant leadership. I want him to bring the country closer together. I want him to see the errors in his ways and correct them. I want him to use his strengths to propel this country forward. My grand vision and his are not that different. We both want a strong, safe America. I think we might take different paths to attain that goal, but it's the same goal none th...

I watched Fahrenheit 9/11 last night online. I thought the film was interesting, and I've been working on a blog about the Bush Dynasty, especially their finances. Most of what Moore talked about in that regard I have found else where on the web. I don't think there is much argument about the fact that the Bush family is into Oil, and you can't be in the Oil Business with out being tied with the Saudis. I mean really, you can't deny that the two go hand in hand. I think it is unfo...

Link This is a great feel good article no matter what side of the debate you are on. I'm so excited about the future of American politics. My generation (x) was such a waste politically, I felt like an outcast talking politics with my friends. I got to the point where I wouldn't even listen to their arguments unless they had a voter registration card. Trying to explain to my friends the theoryies behind the electoral college, and primaries was futile. Uneducated and uniformed and unr...
